Call for chairpersons for the Staffing Review and Appeals committees

The Department of Finance is looking for chairpersons for its Staffing Review and Appeals committees – unionized positions and excluded positions.

The committees provide unsuccessful job applicants with an opportunity to appeal, if they feel an error in process has been made that may have affected their possible appointment to a position within the Government of Nunavut (GN).

Applicants must be residents of Nunavut, have experience resolving human resources issues and not be a current employee of the GN or the Nunavut Employees Union.

Chairpersons must be available for at least six hours per month to deal with committee matters. Training will be provided, and members will receive honoraria for their services.
