The Department of Environment’s Parks Division will be celebrating Parks Day at Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park on Saturday, July 16, 2016. The celebrations, which will start at 11 a.m., will include music, learning activities and a barbecue. Free shuttle buses will be available between Iqaluit and the park. The schedule of events and the bus schedule can be found on the Department of Environment’s website at gov.nu.ca/environment.

All across the country, Canadians celebrate federal, provincial and territorial parks in July. This is the perfect time for people to spend a day exploring and enjoying all that Nunavut’s outstanding parks have to offer.
