Dangerous river ice conditions at Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park

Nunavut Parks and Special Places is asking park users to keep a safe distance from the river’s edge at the Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park. Conditions are changing daily and people are asked not to climb on any ice pans along the river edge as they may be unstable.

In case of emergency, life rings are located along the river’s edge.

For more information about current park conditions, please contact the Sylvia Grinnell Park office at 867-975-2350.
