The Government of Nunavut has been working closely with Microsoft to bridge language gaps using the Microsoft Translator tool, and now a new user guide is available through the Department of Culture and Heritage.
As part of this year’s Uqausirmut Quviasuutiqarniq, Inuktut Language Month activities, Inuinnaqtun, Inuktitut Roman Orthography, and the Inuktitut enhanced language model, were incorporated into the Microsoft translator.
The Departments of Culture and Heritage (CH) and Community and Government Services (CGS), Information Management / Information Technology (IM/IT), continue to collaborate with Microsoft to preserve and promote Inuktut through technology.
