Mascot naming contest
The name for our Uqausirmut Quviasuutiqarniq mascot is Aputingua. Ragilie Barnabas from Hall Beach won the naming contest with her entry, which means snowball.
During Uqausirmut Quviasuutiqarniq (Language Week) in February, children were asked to come up with a name for our new language mascot. We received some excellent suggestions and the final decision was difficult. In the end, Aputingua was chosen as the favourite.
Congratulations Ragilie and thanks to everyone who submitted names!
